The TTLG Concept | Conceptual Album Overview

THE TTLG CONCEPT

TTLG, whose full title will remain a mystery until the full album release in 2027, is my debut conceptual album, structured in three interconnected phases. Each phase reflects a stage of life: childhood, adolescence, and adulthood, through distinct sonic and emotional landscapes.

I have drawn inspiration from Carl Jung’s archetypes, not as a rigid framework, but as a symbolic language to narrate the inner journey. Jung spoke of universal patterns inhabiting our collective unconscious: the Shadow, the Hero, the Mother, the Sage, the Child… figures that recur in dreams, myths, and art, often without our conscious awareness.

In TTLG, the mirror acts as a threshold. On the other side (much like Lewis Carroll’s Wonderland) the listener traverses three phases of life, each associated with a Jungian archetype: first, the wonder and vulnerability of the Child; then the drive, the quest, and the fall of the Hero; and finally, the serene, almost distant gaze of the Sage.

This is not a literal application of Jungian theory ( am not an analyst) but a deeply personal artistic interpretation. Jung has served as a symbolic map, not a dogma. Ultimately, archetypes are not academic labels: they are mirrors where we face our own reflection as we strive to understand ourselves.

Childhood / Innocence: The Broken Lullabies

Volume 1 represents childhood, and with it, the clash between the idealized world and the first emotional wounds. I chose this title because I believe many of our deepest scars are born in childhood; lullabies that never quite managed to soothe us.

Adolescence / The Shadow:  Here Comes the Dark

Volume 2 embodies the archetype of adolescence. It marks the arrival of our first loves and the intense search for our own identity, accompanied by a hormonal chaos that, in my case, was difficult to navigate. Yet, it was precisely that turbulence that laid the fertile ground for a whole new creative universe.

Adulthood / Transcendence: Coming Soon

The narrative begins with bright, naïve pop melodies that echo the lighthearted spirit of childhood. Yet, even in its most joyful moments, subtle glitches and lyrical undercurrents hint at deeper wounds and hidden truths.

The middle section dives into the restless, rebellious energy of adolescence: musically bolder, lyrically more confrontational — questioning love, identity, societal norms, and the hypocrisies of the modern world.

The final chapter ventures into a darker, more atmospheric soundscape, blending the soul of ’70s progressive rock with sacred symbolism and futuristic textures, marking a phase of total creative freedom.

The entire album was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Locus Estudi (Barcelona), featuring an exceptional lineup of musicians:

Pau Esteve (bass, guitar, keyboards, arrangements, production, mastering), Juan Barceló (1980s Yamaha Rogers drum kit with Paiste 2002 series cymbals), Walter Paniagua (Fender Stratocaster & Cort Core guitars), Agustín Montero (Fender Precision bass), Lluc Valverde (trumpet, saxophone), Clàudia Madhurima (violin), and Andy Arno (vocals).
